Cot damn. I've seen several reviews and acceleration tests put these cars just under 13sec 1/4 miles. I'm guessing the cars doing that are the ones with 3.73 gears. Mines an auto so it won't be as fast as you guys with the better gearing. So I am thinking I would need a little more than a tune and mid pipe.

Think a stock auto over on svtp did the 1/4 in the mid 12 second range @111 or 112ish. Insane!

I have only axle backs and my tires are just as crappy as stock with a road race spring and ran 12.6@111 so it's very doable

going to the track on stock tires and stock LCA's is a waste of time if you have a stick.. I couldnt get better than a 2.2 60' no matter what I did. So instead of beating around the bush I'm pretty much upgrading every piece of my stock suspension to BMR cause if you cant get a good 60' your just wasting your time dragracing..
Tires and rims will be next..

What makes the aftermarket LCA's so much better?

They are adjustable long as u buy the relocation brackets, way better imo. The stockers are paperthin and flex anytime you floor it and they have rubber bushings that give too much. Poly bushings are the way to go for a street car.
