I basically followed the guidelines of many people who are already running Amsoil 10W30. I am very pleased with it and the car runs fine. Just because it is a recommendation from Ford doesn't necessarily mean it's required or the engine will blow up. I have over 3k miles on the oil and couldn't be more happy.

Yea you'll be ok, just don't switch to royal purple and go 5-6k between oil changes, you'd be asking for it at that point lol. Amsoil is very remarkable shit indeed!
