Eventually I would like to do the Long Haul, but it won't be anytime soon.

Yea your family situation wont allow it... My dad and I have been talking about it for over 10 years... which car, when, where, etc. If he isn't working which it seems likely he won't be (just let go), then no time like the present. Problem is we dont really have a cool car that is "done" to take... the Road Runner painted would be sweet, but it has a stall issue, and the Stang doesnt have AC or run for damn.
Maybe we just take the C6, it will be the most comfortable (but common and boring).

Which is great for a track car taking a lot of driver error out of the equation.

I really want to do the trip to Texarkana at least. Maybe take a few days of vacation and hang out in Hot Springs with the girlfriend.

LOL, that doesn't keep me from doing anything. There is this thing called grandparents and aunts/uncles to babysit. They can't get enough of that stuff.

I did three leg of the Power tour in 09 in my 08 Mustang GT. It was a common car but I still had a great time. I enjoyed the drive and seeing all the nice cars. Chattanooga and Coker Tire is a really cool event. I wouldn't hesitate to take a C6......Its also a great experience for you and your dad.

Will be the only car I trust to take besides the wife's C5, and she wont let me put 2000+ miles on it without her going. lol
