Are 4.10s too much for the Street?
2012 - n/a, tune, BMR rear suspension pieces, 10" tire. Will I be be able to make them stick, or should I back off and go with 3.73s? Don't drive it far, but do it daily. Have the gears, but not installed yet. Have the auto. Opinions?

Ever planning on any sort of forced induction? If so, step away from the 4.10's. They'll be fun around town and should be a quite the kick at the 1/8th mile tracks, but if any of your daily commute involves freeways, you'll grow tired of them with a quickness.

Boost is a ways off. Would like to stay n/a for awhile. Commute involves about 15 minutes. LOL

If that's all you use the car for, then no big deal. Cruising on the weekends will suck too. I drive the wheels off mine, have 3.55's and love it. With boost and a little juice, she was a whisker away from running in the 9's and still cruises at low rpm on the highway.

Go with the 3.73 gears...4.10 would just be ridiculous with the Auto. I am running 3.73 gears and it is hard to get traction. When I do catch, It pulls hard at any speed.

I've had a sc GT with 4.10's. 1-2 gear are worthless but fun.
I have 4.10s in my daily driver and still get 20mpg |
