Like 03MachMe I just had Boss-type stripes installed (at Big Worm Graphics in Ft. Worth- nice guys). I chose to put "GT" at the top of the hockey stripes- so no confusion that its not a Boss 302 (almost went with "S197" on the top).
Post pics once they're installed!

S197 stopped being the body designation in 2009. 2010 and up cars are SN10's.

Never knew there was an actual body designation.

Yep, that's the internal code Ford uses to specify the body style. SN95, S197, now SN10. The new car will be the S550 I believe.

Technically speaking, yes and no. Some things bolt up, and some things don't. As a comparison, the Fox chassis existed basically from 1978 (Fairmont), until 2004 in the New Edge cars, but they changed the designation several times during those years. You can put a Cobra IRS into an '82 GT and it's damn near a bolt it though.
