By the sound of the symptoms, I'm guessing it dropped a valve.

Regardless of what happened, I'm sorry to hear it. I was anxious to see what a full top-end built coyote could do on a stock short block.

Well there is still a little hope that there might not be anything wrong with the engine but won't know for a few days and not till they tear down to the oil pump gear.

When my crank gear fucked up, it locked the motor up. No oil issues or anything other than that. Unsure if the 2011+ has them or not.
