Tremec Magnum or Paxton?
Which would you do and why? Why would you do one over the other? I am curious to see the replies.

None. I guess i'd only get an upgraded tranny if I needed it after adding power.

Magnum. Because I'd rather have a solid built, broken in trans before boost rather than after I break it.

Depends what your plans for the car are. Are you going to run it hard at the strip all the time or just a street car. If you plan on going to the track a lot and don't have the money to fix it if the trans blows up on you then do that first, if it is just a street car to have some fun with then get the Paxton.

Since I still haven't seen power shred an MT-82, I'd say Paxton.
Not to mention, these cars seem to be really sensitive to drivetrain alignment and I hear a lot of people bitch about vibrations after a trans/driveshaft swap.
Just my .02. If it were really my money, I'd keep it in the bank.

If your transmission is fine why mess with changing it. I would say go with the Paxton or keep the money in the bank.

I say Paxton first, just be sure you have access to enough money for a clutch replacement or transmission repair/replacement when needed, otherwise you'll have those funds tied up in the Paxton doing nothing.

Magnum. Eventually that mt82 will grenade, so might aswell do it now.
Plus, you can get the magnum with the .50 6th gear and get some awesome mpg.

Paxton, your stock MT-82 will take care you of if you take care of it. Meaning no power shifting or mission g gears(going into wrong gears) ask Downtime his car has gone down then track quiet a few times.
