It's actually about 10" longer than our cars, but 2" narrower. The weight savings come from less safety and emissions equipment, and an overall lower quality of build. It's an old car. No air bags, smog crap, hardly any sound deadener, cheaper carpet, etc.

Nice!!!
Cut my teeth on Moms slant 6, 3 on the tree, 4 door dart. About as sophisticated as an old farm tractor, but easy to fix and keep running.

Thanks y'all! Just ran the numbers through the calculator and it says it should run 10.1x's at 130. I'd be pretty happy with a 10.50.

Man, do I remember this time in Mopar history! Back when I was driving my 1970 RoadRunner. And if anybody is naïve enough to think that these cars were made for doing anything other than go in a straight line, just look at those seats. Can you imagine trying to flog that around some curves?

Don't I remember! Flat bucket, low consoles and Armorall spray made for some interesting times going around corners, especially in the days well before mandatory seat belts! LOL!

They had seat belts?
Ohhh, right...A lap belt and something that stayed clipped along the healdliner above the door that they called the shoulder belt.
