Just a quick first gear. One thing I've found after years of running them, MT's don't need a huge John Force burnout. Get 'em smoking, and let off the gas, but let them quit spinning on their own. Too many people hit the brakes after a burnout and that seems to be what spoils a good launch.

Very cool. At 130mph, there is plenty more left in that ET!

LOL! No doubt! One of the first runs was a "soft launch" 12.08 @ 126. Kind of figured we were on to something with that one!

I can tell 'ya these "no-lift" shifts in the auto are NASTY! On my DR's it felt like I lifted the tires on a 2-3 shift! LMAO!

I'm searching for a wrecked auto 5.0 right now, but am still considering either a 4R70 or 4L80 swap. Manny and crew are talking about a Turbo 400 swap as well. Not sure about a 3 speed again for street driving, but it would be strong as hell.

It's becoming less and less street car, so the mileage isn't a concern. I just keep remembering my old coupe with 3.73's and a C4. When I did drive it on the street, it was a howling monster on the highway.

Yep, prob be turning some good rpm with no OD. My dad's RR has a 3 speed and it turns like 2800 at 65-70 with 3.23s...

Haha, got rid of a hatchback with that same setup about a year ago, cruising on the highway at 60 gets old.

I should have kept that car. My wife told me soon after I got rid of it she wanted a foxbody for a DD, that was one of the cleanest foxes I've owned.

I'm looking at a 4R70 for my car as well - got quoted $8200 for a complete setup from FB Performance. That includes a transbrake, dshaft, shifter, everything... I'm still trying to get over the $8200 price tag. I definitely don't want to give up the od for the street. Bad enough as it is. 8-]
