Going to the darkside a little...
Well I got a call from a very good family friend last week, he has a '69 Corvette that has been sitting in his garage for the past 10 years he wants me to have. His son is not really interested in it, and it needs a little work to get back on the road, so he wants to pass it on to me. Pretty excited about it, went yesterday to check it out and took a few pics. Has a sbc 400 that has been nicely built with dart heads, cam etc, has a nicely built th400 trans, interior is in really good shape save for the seats, it just needs a little tlc to the exterior. He took it to a guy to get the rear brakes fixed, the guy decided to drive it a few days before working on it, and the right rear caliper started to lock up, thus killing the caliper, rotor, bearings and i hope thats all. i have to put it back together so i can load it up, but hoping to bring it hope in a week or 2.
Here she in in her glory days.
What is looks like now..

Very cool Toby. That thing has some potential to be a really fun toy! A big nasty LSx like the one Sean had in his Monza would be sick!

All it needs is some chrome Cobra Rs and it's set.
Just kidding, congrats, nice car.

I don't consider a classic vette the dark side. It's the badass side. Congrats, Toby!

thanks guys, I plan to just get it back solidly on the road for now. My focus right now is putting an ls1 in my truck. Then building a 408 for the mustang. But i do want to get the vette back on the road and slowly buy a few parts here and there.

ha. Any of the fast Pro Mod cars runnin LSXs vs how many run Hemis or Big blocks...
Big Blocks sound like mechanical sex too. I want a tri-5 or a 66/7 Nova one day with a 600-700 inch BBC in it. A C3 like this would be sick as well.
Booo LSX craps.
