Yeah, some of these new 5.0's are crazy loud like NASCAR loud. I don't know how they can drive it like that.

I'm one of those guys. Long tubes, off road x muffler deletes, just the factory resonators still in place. It's ridiculously loud at WOT, but just has a nice deep rumble while cruising.

That's me too...it's crazy loud...

I raced a new lightly modded Camaro on the way home yesterday from Cars and Coffee. I gave him a car and a half jump and still beat him by two buses. I have no respect for the Camaros. Bring on the vettes...

If you say so. I've never run a '10+ Camaro SS that could even come close. Even the ZL1s I've seen at the track run high 7s at 90, same as my stock GT.

I'm sure there are fast SS Camaros out there, but a "lightly modded" one will probably not do well against a 5.0.

You ran high 7's at 90 mph stock?

Which is great for a track car taking a lot of driver error out of the equation.

Well, with 20" drag radials, although my 60s aren't anything to write home about.

Mine is car 94. Car 72 is a GT500 on the same tires

2 buses? I still dont believe it... 2 cars maybe.

My stock ls1 keeps up with stock 5.0s, and there is NO way I put 2 buses on any new Camaro... unless the Camaro let out the instant the Mustang started pulling away, which is more than likely what happened.

2 buses? Yep. I'm not the guy that sits here and exaggerates races.

If I read your quote right, you claimed to "keep up with stock 5.0's"...first off,"keeping up" with a STOCK 5.0 is a lot different than putting 2 buses on a lightly modded 10+ Camaro. A stock Camaro can't really keep up too well with a new 5.0 much less a modded 5.0.

I could blame it on a shitty driver or a slow car, either way he was deep in my rear view.

Exhaust and tune is all I have...

Those Camaro's are so slow...I've now raced a couple of them and they just can't hang.
