Motorcraft does offer a full synthetic but I do not believe that is what the factory puts in these cars.

Mobil 1 is a Base 3 POA which is not a full synthetic oil. Anything at a POA 4-5 is a fully synthetic motor oil. Mobil is advertised as full synthetic due to its great ability to protect against wear. I read an article in DSport magazine that I still have at home, that did a HUGE detailed review on motor oil in general. I typed out the entire article over on Corvetteforum.
