Haha, that's too easy. 361hp in a two-ton car. I like how they look but they are seriously underpowered.

Cool I guess, but our cars are designed to compete with ls3 cars. Our cars against an ls1 fbody isn't very fair. Of course a 2010+ sports car should run circles around a car based off of late 90s technology.

stock 4th gen F-body cars are faster than the 5th gen F-body. A bolt on LS1 car should outrun a stock new 5.0. just sayin'.

Still thats like saying let me go put on all this performance stuff just so I can pull you by a fender. I have chevy friends that talk crap about how much I paid for my car, but mine is an all around comfortable car. They drop 5-10 grand in their engine alone. All I gotta say is give me 5-10 just for performance and we will see if you can get close enough to read my license plate.

How? A bolt on ls1 makes 320rwhp unless you're talking GM guys terms and bolts ons are cams and heads to then depends on the heads and cams they are making what a stock 5.0 makes or a little bit more.

Pff. Most of the LS1 cars that have cams, converters, and a tire still struggle to hang with an honest low-12 second Mustang on the street.

most of your 01-02 LS1 cars see almost 300 to the tire stock. With bolt ons they can see over 350 to the tire easy. Now add that they weigh less than our cars and that closes the gap rather quickly.

If I had an LS1 car with a converter and a cam and I could barely hang with a low 12 sec car, I would burn my car.

True, most GM guys consider a cam a "bolt on". I believe if you swap heads, cam and intake that takes it from being a "bolt on car" to a "HCI" car.
Either way, LS1 cars have always been fast, and yes, I have experience with them.

Well, there's a bunch of them out there that DON'T hang with a low 12 sec car so get your gas and matches ready.

That is pretty sad. Who does the tuning for the F-body guys around here? Maybe they need to be fired too.

A cam/bolton Ls1 should be pretty quick. They weigh about 300lbs less then a mustang i believe.

Until the 2011 5.0 the ls1 fbodys were killing mustangs pretty easy... Plus most fbodys are heavily modified or swapped for a 6 litre with h/c/I. My point is I owned a black 2002 trans am that was modded and it was very much fast and I'm extremely happy that my bone stock engine put an fbody down that easily

Cam. Singular. And a converter/tire bolt on car will go low 12s. Throw a cam in there and you're talking 11s. But by then the rear usually breaks and they throw a 9" Ford rear in.

Negative, bolt on is anything external. A cammed car is called cam only, H/C is Heads/Cam and HCI is Heads/Cam/Intake. Just like KungFu said bolt on cars make 325-350 depending on auto vs manual and the dyno its on. Cam only are high 300 to mid 400 depending on how aggessive the cam is. What Ford guys seem to hear is a cam, but not pay attention to what cam. Comparing a 224/224 cammed car to a 231/234 car is like comparing a stock 5.0 to a stock 3v. Same thing goes with H/C, depends on how aggressive the cam is.
