My 2013 GT Oil Analysis
We were talking about it a while back but I didn't want to dig up an old thread. Here's the UOA I got back for anyone interested. Mostly daily driving with a couple trips to the track and runs down the highway. There's room for improvement but compared to others I've seen for this motor it's on par for the other Motorcraft 5w-20 reports.

Oh and Royal Purple HPS 5w-30 went in so in a few months I'll try and remember to update this.

Good UOA. It shows there is no reason for people to put down a 20 weight oil, especially Motorcraft, in an engine designed for it. Looks like you could get 8,000 miles on it and it's sure less expensive than Royal Purple.

this is exactly what I was saying about motorcraft oil. Its not bad, not the best, but for the price its hard to beat. My next change Im going with Penzoil Ult or back to motorcraft.

Yeah, as you can see they recommended 6000 miles, this oil had just over 4000 on it. I have read though that if the TBN is below 3 it's about time for a change. Since there is already RP in it now I'm going to 7500 and will compare.

I think you will see gd results with Royal Purple. Thanks for taking the time to send off for oil analysis. Are you running a OEM filter?

Yep.
And if anyone plans on doing an oil analysis feel free to use this thread for updates. It'll make it easier to compare results.

Okay. Here's the results of the analysis I just had done on my oil. Blackstone recommended trying 9,000 miles next time and that's on Mototcraft syn blend. Fine by me.

I was not aware that Motorcraft was a synthetic oil! Very good to know. I was worried about that and was looking to switch to Royal Purple. I may still do that anyway though.

What Ford puts in is a synthetic blend oil, not a true synthetic. I'm not sure why it's labeled that way on the report.

Mobil 1 is a full Synthetic. The Motorcraft Oil the factory uses is a Synthetic blend.
Motorcraft does offer a full synthetic but I do not believe that is what the factory puts in these cars.
