Dude, last 2 times my girlfriend has gone snorkeling in Maui (yearly trip) they have seen on over by Molakini just chillin. Supposedly it's super rare

Yes, we were there for a week (Kauai) and did not see any until literally minutes before we were about to leave to head to the airport. Our hotel was maybe 30 feet from the shoreline and we happened to spot him as we were walking out with all of our luggage. Pretty awesome!
