Yea the vette dude was an asswipe. He bumped the Porsche all around. He bumped the Porsche on the final turn causing him to lose momentum and was gna try and take the win that way.

I agree. It's one thing to use the bump & run on a short track in NASCAR, but I thought it was a little much for the GT2 race. It looked like the 911 squeezed him to the wall afterwards, but the Vette didn't lift and when he bumped off the wall the 911 was there and spun him. Sucks for the guy in the Vette to wreck, but I think he got what he was asking for...at least he didn't spin out the 911 when he bumped him.
Did you catch where the Vette driver also short-cut the track using the pit-out lane? Officials penalized him for that - I'm sure that kicked in a bit of road rage setting him up to try and bump the 911 out of the way.

The Porsche is the ass-hat with that move at the end. I understand he was bumped but he could have closed off that passing lane earlier. Everyone knew the 'vette wouldn't lift. The move by the 'vette in the pit out was brilliant, but executed way to early in the area that is considered off limits. Pit out is part of the track once the blend line appears, but the 'vette should have waiting until the curbing was gone and it would have been legal.

The vette clearly bumped him to throw off his momentum.

No doubt the bump wasn't cool, brakes probably were to hot and he was definitely trying to brake as late as possible hoping to catch the Porsche playing it safe.
I think the Porsche could have closed the inside earlier forcing the 'vette to the outside where it was too late to pass. He's lucky the 'vette didn't take him out and end up crossing first during the spin out to add insult to injury. Great racing though.

Since this is old news (2009 ALMS finale), lot's of people have weighed in with their opinions. Here's a link to more opinions on what happened:
http://oneighturbo.com/motorsports/a...p-controversy/
In the end, ALMS blamed both drivers for their on-track behavior:

I saw nothing wrong but Im a dirty racer... but if someone checks up into me, they are going to pay for it. The porsche guy was a better driver with a slower car and defending his spot. He drove very well imo, had the track covered in the passing spots.
The move in the end was the last turn, it seemed fair to me. He didnt blatantly slam into him, just was making it clear not to pass on that side.

Did you guys miss the two laps before where the Porsche intentionally drove the Vette off the track exiting turn 1? He was getting frustrated by being run off the track every time he got a run on the Porsche, so returned the favor on the last turn. Then the Porsche pushed him into the wall, and when that wasn't enough hooked his rear bumper intentionally pitting him into the wall. Lucky the corvette driver didn't get hurt.

THe Porsche had the racing line. HE was following a absolute perfect line. It never changed. If he is front then that is in fact his line. He used his car wisely, taking up as much space as one can.
