want to start racing!
hey everyone! so I've looked a little bit around but I dunno if I'm blind or what's up but is there a thread already talking about what you need to start drag racing? Like anything the track would make me have or anything like that? I'd be doing most of the events at TMS because it's really close to my house! thanks everyone!

Helmet, SNELL 2005 or newer, preferably 2010. Have to call and verify with TMS for sure.
Other than that, read the NHRA rules for safety equipment.

It doesn't matter that your 17. Take a helmet but don't be surprised if you don't have to have it. If you are taking a stock 5.0 then you won't need any extra safety equipment, you won't be fast enough to need it.

you talking about the friday night drags? if so just a helmet. If you dont have one i think you can rent of borrow one from them. All racers have to have a helmet there. But there you can race in shorts.

Check out Cycle Gear. You can get an approved helmet there for around $75.
