Had to drive the 5.0 out today with the ice outside. The out come...
|
Poor car...
I was lucky and got home before it started getting bad. |
Glad you're OK. How'd the wheel get separated? What did you hit?
|
Went sliding on ice and the front wheel hit that corner curb. That was this morning at 6:30.
|
Curbs are probably the most unforgiving thing drivers can encounter at any time, and on ice they become cringe worthy just at sight.
Sorry this happened to your car, and good luck on the repairs. |
Jesus how fast were you going? I've bumped a few curbs the past 2 days playing on the ice and no damage at all...
|
My car sits warm under its car cover in my garage. Thank goodness we have a daily for family transit.
That's heart breaking to see. Hope you get it repaired quickly. Good luck. |
Oh, fuck! I am so sorry! I quickly learned that I am not ready to drive in this icy stuff out here in Azle. My dad's front-wheel Taurus struggled to make it up the street to turn into our driveway... and the street IS gravel. I managed to get out, but quickly went back home for fear of wrecking.

I was only going 25-30 mph. My car spun sideways and the wheel hit the corner of the high curb. Happened on service road of 161 and las colinas blvd.
Took it to west way ford, insurance adjuster won't be able to at it till Tuesday. It hurt to see the car being dragged up the wrecker. The wrecker pulled on the side exhaust trying to straighten the car on the truck. |
I normally leave Pokey in the garage and take my wife's jeep out in weather like this but I didn't this week. I got lucky.

Oh man, that sucks.
|
Wow that does suck. Last Thursday after the roads were clear from ice some ass decided to rear end me! WTF LOL
|
Sucks man. At least you weren't hurt. I can't believe the wrecker pulled it up by the exhaust?
