TIRE question
Anyone know if a 315/35/20 has any problem clearing in the rear of the 2014? Of course with a 20x10 wheel
|
A wheel with the proper offset should not have any issues. It may require a lowered car to clear the bump stops.

I think I am 95% sure I want to do the FR500 wheels in either black Chrome or Black with polished lip....

315 is a wide tire for a 10" wheel. You might be hard pressed to fit that. I know Josh Bishop had 315s on his 11" wheels and they were wide, but BFG Rivals also run widers than normal.
You might have to do some trimming in the wheel well on a bracket that is there from the factory as a lift point for the assembly line. But as rlhay said, finding the offset to make the wheel fit is key. |
It will rub and the sidewalls will bulge on a 10 inch wheel.
|
ok so my safe bet is a 295/35/20

I agree... Cool now just to pick between the 2 wheels

295 is great for a 10" wheel, 305 for 11.

OP as far as color, I think black chrome would look pretty cool |

Depends on the offset and the drop you're on. Don't need a 315 on a 10. 305/35 would be plenty of tire.

Thanks JD. I checked with a buddy that works at LMR. He said 295 or 305 is fine just like it was in my 94
Also as far as tire on a car or a truck. Tire sizes don't change the way they work do to being on a SUV a truck or a sports car. It's rubber it don't know the difference. I was meaning will they rub on the inner fender. I know some of you run a 285 on brembo wheels which are 9" wide rims. So a 10" wheel can take a 305 or a 315 easy. That's just math. But the question will they rub. On inside. But think to be safe and I am gonna go 295/35/20. |

Well ended up ordering these. Got them for 800 shipped for 20x8.5 and 20x10. I hope they look good on there. Haven't seen tons of cars with these wheels. |
