to boss manifold or not?
Have a chance to get a deal on the manifold. Not sure if it would help or not. No converter, stock gears. Procharger d1sc in 10-11lbs. Might be doing a tran brake here soon. Not sure on my power level.
Anyone know if its less restrictive or just shifts the powerband? Im current reving to 7250rpm |

Im up in the air as well on The Boss Mani.

Unless you're turning the motor to 8grand I don't think it's worth it. But that's just me

I dont think 8k is really needed but at least 7000-7500.

Boss manifold or bust

If you were n/a, I would not recommend it. But being boosted, I think the extra manifold volume could be useful in filling the cylinders at all engine speeds. If you're getting a good deal, I say go for it. If it doesn't work out, you could always switch back.

HOw does the Boss mani affect the curve besides the top? Any gains?
|
It moves the whole curve up a range and paired with long tubes it's a beast

IT will help your road racing. But definitely recommend the other valve trains parts to go with it. You'd be able to stay in gears longer and get a little more top end. Who doesn't like that for road racing?

Thanks for the responses. I think I will stay with the stock manifold for now and put the money else where theres a couple things I need to finish.

Boss manifold is highly overrated. My car made 435/420 with the stock manifold, long tubes, JLT CAI and custom tune from GH, while it was still n/a. I shifted that combo at 7250 with a 7400 soft rev limit and ran 11.50's. Unless that intake is near free, I'd pass.
