Dyno'd the 2014 5.0
1 Attachment(s)
Fellas went to gearheads today and dyno'd the 2014 5.0 bone stock minus simple flowmaster AB. Pretty happy with the results 370rwhp.
Waiting patiently for Steve to tell us about his 399rwhp stock 5.0 lol |
LOL, not my fault you went to a stingy dyno. 377 or 399...it's all still slow. :D

Slow day for me. Home with a sick kid and can't do much today.
|
Manual right?

Solid numbers. Seems about right for the weather conditions today (heat and all).
|
yes manual and I dont know if it makes that much of a difference but that didnt put a fan or a blower in front of the car
|
Not going to make much difference. The moving air helps to lower IATs slightly, but not much.

Did they do the dyno in 5th gear? Some tuners won't realize it, but 5th is the 1:1 ratio. The car will lose a little bit of power through drivetrain loss if you don't use the 1:1 gear.
The Vorshlag mustang, if I remember correctly, dynos at around 430 rwhp, with only a custom intake, exhaust, and tune. Also, it depends on what style dyno you ran on. The Mustang Dynos tend to read 10ish percent lower than a comparable DynoJet, I think. |
That's about normal numbers for a stock 5.0. Why are the lines squiggly in the upper rpm range? Hopefully it's just their dyno showing it like that and not actually your car fluctuating like that.
I just dyno'd mine yesterday but they did it in 4th gear so I may have a little more 433 hp 397trq |

Where did you dyno yours? |
At baileys hyperformance factory off blue mound and 820. I told the guy 5th gear is 1:1 ratio but he said his dyno doesn't read that high in mph.
|
They did it in 4th also every dyno sheet I have received fork gearheads the lines are all crazy. They were even talking about how there dyno is on the fringe in front of me.
|
So Realisticly my numbers would be higher if they did a 5th gear pull. I think they were scared to get a car going 150mph. Just my theory
