It's that time again! My annual job hunting thread!
Well this is becoming quite a thing for me, every year it seems right around this time I get to thinkin' hard about my job and I realize just how much I work for so little money... I've had a long string of jobs since I moved to the US and it seems that in every job I land I end up working far too hard for far too little money (if I get paid at all!) and I'm always trying to find a way to get ahead..
So here we go again, does anyone know of a solid business hiring? Or is the company you work for hiring? I'm open to looking at just about any opportunity where I will get paid relative to how long and hard I work. I'm currently selling cars and managing the dealerships eBay account and it's frustrating to me how much work (and time! 60 hours a week!) I have to put forth to get average pay every Friday. I have prior experience in a lot of stuff from being a service advisor to a store manager, I've done graphics, I've done sales, I've run small businesses, I've even detailed cars! If you can help or know someone who may need a new employee that actually WORKS then shoot me a PM and I'll get you my resume. Thanks guys! |
Go roughneck on a rig. 70-100k a yr and work half the year.

My company (Zodiac Seats US LLC (formerly Weber Aircraft)) seems to always be hiring assemblers. Its up in Gainesville and the hours can be kind of ridiculous but if you don't mind the commute and being part of a union I think the pay is decent and you'll have plenty of opportunities for overtime.

Our steel facbrication plant could always use new people. As long as you take pride in your work, and don't try to cut corners, I'm sure they would love you versus some of the people they have now.

I'd really like to find something with consistent hours where I can work all day. I hate sitting around in the dealership wasting time when it's quiet, I know a lot of people love just sitting around and doing nothing here but man, I wanna have stuff to do! |

You'd be doing shift work, but right now most of the guys, I'm told, are working 60-70 hours a week. |

I'm not expecting to just fall into a manager role or a high-paying position, all I want really is a job where I can work hard and get paid for doing so. So please, if you know a company that actually looks after their employees and I will be rewarded for being loyal please let me know lol. |

I'm starting to lean towards something manual labor I think, no stupid customers, no hassle or bullshit, just go to work and WORK and get a decent check each week.. |

Met some guys from Australia at a bar once here in longview. Learned what flange meant pretty quick. Me and my brother still use that every now and then :D |
