Are these any good for a 2014 GT? Can they be custom tuned?

I have a buddy that is giving one away, but I don't know much about it.

What do you guys think? Take it for free or spend some money and get an SCT or similar?

If you get it for free call JPC Racing as Kevin over there is great with Diablosport from what I hear
