Looking for suggestions
Hey Vorshlag, I'm looking for some suggestion for my suspension. My car is a 90% a street duty car. I really enjoy the country twisty backroad cruising between McKinney and Sherman and would like to make my car handle much better, but still keep it's street manners without being too harsh. I'm also planning on killing some parking cones at future events for autocross.
I currently have Sportline springs and a BMR panhard bar on my 2012 GT. So I'm looking for suggestions on shocks, struts, sway bars and whatever other pieces you might think would help me in the handling area. I'm posting this in the public forum rather than a PM for others who maybe interested in a Vorshlag street suspension set up as well. :) |
I am interested in what's suggested as well.
I currently have BMR springs and TOkico D-Specs w/ GT500 strut mounts on my car as the only suspension parts. Looking for what would be best for my current setup and still work for future setups. |
I have 2012 Boss with Vorshlag's cc plates, eibach lowering springs LCAs with reloc brackets and Whiteline watts link and D-Force rims with NT-05 tires

Well, it depends. It depends on how "daily" is your car driven. How competitive you want to be at the autocross or time trial. And what sort of budget you have.
Not to cop out, but for one scenario or another I've recommended every part on our site, and a couple others that we don't sell direct. But, they do start falling into patterns. Daily driver that wants to have fun at an autocross but isn't worried about being competitive? Bilstein StreetPro kit with the Ford Racing "K" springs and Vorshlag camber plates (included with the kit) Whiteline front and rear sway bars Whiteline adjustable rear panhard bar Whiteline rear relocation brackets (that work with the stock lower arms) 18x10 wheels with decent high performance tires Taking up track days or serious autocrossing as a hobby, but the car still needs to be street driven? Rear relocation brackets and adjustable lower arms Whiteline front and rear sway bars AST 4150 or MCS TT1 struts with stiffer springs and Vorshlag camber plates Whiteline Watts link (quiet enough for street use) Depending on class rules and the tires you will be using, either 18x10 D-Force wheels or 18x11 and 18x12 Forgestar wheels Front and rear brake pads and fluid And if you have the budget, use the Ford Racing steering rack and the Energy Suspension front arm bushing Beyond that? A dedicated competition car will be more rules and budget driven and will have too many options that "depend" on rules and other things. |
How much is it for just the Bilstein StreetPro kit without the springs or camber plates? They do work with stock strut mounts correct.

Ok so back to my question, how much for just the shocks and struts and I want to confirm they work with stock mounts

We don't sell just the struts.
Not sure what top mount they would require if you used OEM top mount parts. |
