Shaftmasters Aluminum Driveshaft Review
Check out my review of the Shaftmasters 3.5” aluminum driveshaft at:
Shaftmasters Aluminum Driveshaft Review for my 2011 Mustang GT California Special |
Looks great Brent. Looking forward to seeing the car run at the track now. I bet that motor winds up like a rocket dropping that 20#.
Can I ask how much this was OTD for you? |
Derek, this is Brent not Dale and the driveshafts are $599.99
|
Very nice, Brent. Looks like a very solid piece and I like that it's an actual "direct replacement" piece. Is this piece daily drivable, street friendly? Any noticeable harmonics/vibrations? I bet that RPM speed increase would be fun!
|
It is more daily drivable than the stock clunky piece ;) No harmonics/vibrations whatsoever at any speed. Definitely revs up quicker!
|
Sorry. I was reading a post of his on the group Facebook page when I responded to this. :o
This is definitely on my list of things to do, but it may be bumped up a few notches. How does the car feel driving down the highway? A lot less effortless to move uphill and such? |
You definitely know the drivetrain is lighter and driving is very effortless

Brent, do you have to drop all of the exhaust to get it in there, or can you snake it in above it? I need to add this to my list as well.
|
Doug1227,
I am not sure since the exhaust was dropped due to changing out to longtubes at the same time but I have heard some people say its not needed to but does make it easier. |
I'm sure it's easier to remove it all.....I guess I'll figure it out when I do it! lol. I'm putting in my KC next, so maybe after that.....
|
Go ahead and drop the mid pipe, I don't think you can even pull the driveshaft out with the exhaust in the way. I've always just dropped the exhaust.
|
Brent, you put that driveshaft in the wrong car, it was supposed to be mine remember?
|
merlinmol, your supercharger and rims were supposed to go on my car so I think I got the short end of the stick ;)
