Autocross June 2nd
I have been wanting to give Autocross a try and there is an event at Texas Raceway in Crandall on June 2nd being put on by Equipe Rapide. Cost is only $40. I happen to be off that sunday due to a school so I'm pretty sure I'm going to give this a try. Anyone else what to try it???
also any imput on what I may need to do to get my car ready? I know I will need to upgrade my brakes eventually but i have heard about problems with the brake fluid boiling. what should I replace the fluid with to make sure this doesnt happen. |
If i get back from my friends wedding in time and I don't party too hard I'm always down for some cone carving!

Do you think I need to change the brake fluid?

I'm not making any plans that far out. I'd love to try it out though.

only had my stock brake fluid boil once on me. It's def not a bad idea, but not a must especially if its your first time. Also depends on how fast or tight the course is....are there any other AutoX coming up?

cool, I may do the 25th with the NTAXS or drive down to College Station for the http://www.tamscc.org/forum/calendar...o=displaymonth
If you want to learn and practice I'd highly suggest the A&M AutoX, they run two courses, one timed and one for fun/practice...they have one a month in the summer |

I might be down to go watch. The mustang prolly won't be ready for that.

Been waiting on a local autocross or track event with a reasonaable price. Been itching to test out the StopTechs. The brakes can take a pounding.
