Questions for a spring swap
 

Hello gents I was trying to avoid it but I'm going to end up doing my spring swap and brakes in the garage I'm confident I can do the work. My questions are anything tricky for those who have done a spring swap. I'm going from sportlines to ford p springs. Someone's buying my sportlines? Also what are the torque values for everything and where can I find a good torque wrench in town? Napa? Advanced? To rent of course.

Not a bad job. I'm doing mine this weekend too. Swapped them originally in the garage too.

Go to Latemodel Resto's blog and search for their spring and strut install on their '13. Essentially the same.

check out youtube. Its an easy job, couple hrs and done.

Don't think anyone is going to rent out torque wrenches, but the 1/2" Husky torque wrench from Home Depot have served me well and reasonably priced.

this is what i'll be using but im only doing the rear spring/shocks this time.

jack up the rear end, place the rear on jack stand, unscrew the bottom bolt of shocks and take out, then lower the jack slowly all the way down. unbolt the top of the shock and it comes right out. the spring should also be able to slide out with the rear lowered.

Autozone rents torque wrenches. Super easy job.
