I like that white one

Only get a Raptor if you plan on actually using it for what it was built for. I'm not trying to be a dick by saying this, but don't be like the majority of the pricks that own Raptors only to drive them on the asphault.
If you get an Ecoboost, DON'T lift it. Any MPG you had before will be out the window, and you will never seen them again. If anything, lower the truck, which can be done on the newer 4x4s, keep the stock wheels and tires, and get some custom tunes for the motor. DON'T get an SRT8 Cherokee. They look awesome, but like Nic said, many electrical problems. |
If you want to do some research on the Raptor and Ecoboost F150, head over to www.f150online.com. I have been a member there for about 5 years, and there is a TON of info at your disposal. Ford actually monitors the forum, and it has been known for them to take constructive critism posted and make something from it.

I can muster 27mpg on my Challenger driving miss daisy. For me being 6'6", the room in the Challenger sold me.
|
I just sold my SRT-8 recently. I probably won't buy another Dodge product again. For the most part it was a good car, lots of power and fun to drive but it get horrible gas mileage. 9-10 city and 20mpg highway.
The reason I won't buy another SRT product is because Dodge dealerships are the absolute worst I've ever seen for customer service. SRT parts are NEVER in stock and cost about twice as much as everything else does. And if you take your car in for service, expect it get a lot of "test miles". Caleb, if you want a badass ride and okay with spending 55k on a lame concrete cowboy truck, you should seriously consider looking at a used C6 Z06. You could get a baller Z06 for that price that would murder your Stang and it will rain poon on your head. |

Why not just go for a 6.7 PSD? With incentives and model year end Ford/dealer rebates, you could get a loaded F350 that will get you better mileage than any of those vehicles, and with with a few pennies in it, will rain coal on all other cars.
You can't go wrong with a diesel. |
Don't want a diesel
Lol and no corvettes - truck / SUV |
I started this thread because I know once car is back to stock I'm impatient and will move fast so the next week or 2 I have my hands tied and have Alittle time to think haha - not by choice
|
I think it depends on what your plans are for the truck.
|
I would choose a new F150 then.
But honestly, the 5.0 in an FX4 would be comparable to the Ecoboost FX4. |
Do you plan on ever using the 4WD if you get it?
|
|
I'm sorry Caleb, you know I've got nothing but love for ya bro, but concrete cowboy trucks are truely some of the lamest rides out there. lmao!

But LOL @ the comment about "low miles". It's a 6 year old truck with ~72k. That's about average. If it had like 12k, that's another story. Hopefully it's got some go fast goodies on it. |
pretty sure thats low miles for a diesel

Do not buy a 4x4 if it will never go off the concrete/asphalt. Get a 2wd. You gain back the power lost from the TC, plus they are typically [numerically] lower geared for better MPG. I think you should get a regular cab F150 2wd with a 5.0 in it. Easily a Gen 3 Lightning. :D |

My dad has a 2001 with ~135k last I checked. And it's been on many road trips. My truck was a 2001 as well, with ~182k. That's a lot of miles. |
crap now i want a truck...

And they always drive like douchebags too. Trying to fog people with diesel smoke and trying to race people with their ridiculous oversized farm truck. lol. I don't want to race you, I want you to go away. I don't want to hear or smell your stupid truck! /rant off. lol. |

Caleb if you want a diesel go with a 6.4 but a job 3 truck. Do a tuner, dpf delete, CAI, egr delete and you're set. The 6.4 can handle serious power without doing studs.

Or, if you can find one, get 7.3L from '02, early '03. That truck will outlive you. Haha |
