how are y'all killing time during this freeze?
I can feel the cabin fever creeping up on me. Been in my house since Thursday afternoon. The thought that I may not be able to leave till Monday afternoon or so sucks. What are you guys doing? Anyone driving around? Are restaurants even open? All I've been doing is sitting around on the internet wishing I could go to buffalo wild wings or something. Luckily the UT game is on to keep me distracted for a few hours.

Been in the garage, messing around with the new car. Adjusting the idle, installing my foot gas pedal cover (LOL!), just little things. It's too damn cold to stay out there very long.
Also, spending time online, buying parts for it, so when it does warm back up, I'll have something to do then. |

We havn't had power in Dallas since Friday at 4:00am. Just got it back. BUT my wife and I drove to Lewisville yesterday morning to stay with some family to stay warm. Scariest drive ever. Lol.

Well we closed the shop down today, roads near me were terrible this morning so I have been driving around our neighborhood sliding around corners and playing with my daughter on her gokart. Been really nice to finally have a day off that I can spend time with my daughter just goofing off. We are now getting ready to eat dinner with some friends and tip back a few rounds of makers mark 46 and some sample whiskeys I picked up from the liquor store a couple weeks ago. Tryin to find a favorite.. Hehe

It sucks as well because before Thanksgiving I had made it up to jogging 7 miles. Now with Thanksgiving break and this damn ice fest, I'll probably be back down to 3 miles or so. Quote:

Saw someone last night redlining the shit out of their SUV trying to drive up the road. They seemed incredibly determined to leave for whatever reason. Probably flooring the gas for a good 5 to 10 minutes and eventually made it up the road and out of the neighborhood. I just assumed it was a pissed off girlfriend or something! Quote:

My kids have been driving me up a wall since we are stuck in the house. Luckily they are staying the night with my folks tonight. We were supposed to go to my wife's company Xmas party but it got cancelled. So we said screw it and are going to a movie.

Been watching online interviews of random pornstars on youtube. Also watching all of the F&F videos and extras on DVD, can't wait to get F&F6 next week. Sucks to be living off Dominos but whatever. Need to go grocery shopping badly but, thank God I have a whole package of toilet paper.

Its amazing what a difference 15-20 miles makes. According to my sister in Richardson it's not nearly as ridiculous as up here in Lewisville. |

I have left the pony in the corral. I took my wife's Nissan Rogue to work yesterday and drove it today. I am impressed with the Rogue. It is a gutless wonder in normal conditions but a beast in the snow. Front wheel drive rocks only in this weather

Driving home from downtown to Coppell Firday night was scary as he'll!! So I've been studying for finals and watching Netflix all weekend. Luckily the Tom Thimb is on a 1/2 mile away so k can get there. The roads here are finally pretty decent to drive on. (Belt line / MacArthur)

As for me I picked up Gran Turismo 5 again, but am kinda bored of that again now, some studying for CCNP, and random TV watching. I defiantly am itching to go drive my car again! |
I finally got a chance to get out of the house. Spent about 45 minutes to an hour running the honda civic with full defrost and scraped 3-4 inch deep ice off every surface. Around 11:30 the hard ice started to turn slushier so I decided to drive to the Kroger to refill on supplies. We were running low on food ideas in the house. Also re-stocked on beer since I doubt I'll be traveling up to Gainesville tomorrow to work.

LOl I live in gainesville.

I can see the ice beginning to melt. Really hoping it will clear up so I can go to work tomorrow and get my grocery shopping done today. I really do not want to order Domino's again.

Shit I've been driving all over the place the last two days. The roads are fine. I can't believe they closed my kids school on Monday when the damn roads are fine.
|
Risk my friend. These days it's easy for people to blame it on the school.

I ended up driving to my girlfriend's house in Crowley Friday about 6 PM. Kind of a stupid decision, but it was then or never.
Other than that, hung out with her and the pups, walked to redbox a few times, and slept. Not really too bad at all. |
Having a lot of sex.

Man this ice was crazy for me. My mom drives a 370z and tried to drive us to Cicis up the street. We didnt even get out of the garage and car couldn't get traction. So she parks the card and we're outside behind the car talking and I bullshit you not car starts sliding out of nowhere. I tried to stop the car and ended up getting pinned in between my car and my fence and my moms car got pretty jacked up. After that we walked our asses to Cicis lmao
