Brake Pads - Brembo Car
I am bout done with having to clean my wheels every other day due to brake dust... I don't track my car (at least not yet, I can swap later if needed) and these Brembo brakes are horrid for keeping them clean.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for keeping as much performance as possible but without the mess. I know it is usually one or the other, but there has to be a balance somewhere within reason. |
Brake Pads - Brembo Car
Those pads are horrid for brake dust. A lot of the guys have switched to C-Max pads. Sounds crazy, but others have success with it. Also the Hawk makes a good pad.
|
Yeah, I've heard the Hawks are good upgrades. I plan to do ceramic probably around first of the year.
|
Cool, i'll shop around for those two brands and see what i like.

Cast my vote for EBC.

I like performance friction. Work great and low dust.

Remember brakes are cheaper than clutches. I hardly ever down shift.

C-Max Gold Here. |
I'll stop over at my local auto-zone to see if they have any in stock. If this humidity lets up at all this weekend maybe i can figure out how to install them.

Another vote for the hawks
|
I read cmax are hard on rotors. Anyone experience similar things?
|
Almost bought the c-max the other day, but they couldn't tell me if they were for the standard mustang brakes or the brembo brakes.
Didn't check this thread for a few days and it looks like more votes for hawks now. Maybe a good thing i didn't buy them. |
There any place i can order the hawkes from and have them install locally (that is trusted)? Been trying to find time to do this but not having much luck.
|
Is the pad design for the Brembo and Standard brakes the same, just different compounds?
|
Let me know guys, I have a bunch of hawk pads on hand. If you have a jack you can do brakes. Its a very, very easy install. Doing the install will at least save you 50 dollars.
