We will be having the 2nd Trinity Park and Shine this Saturday, August 4th from 8am to 12pm.

Come on out if y'all can. Thank you to the ones who did come out in July for our 1st meet/event!

You should really consider doing it on a different morning than Cars and Coffee in Dallas. This would be a nice event to check out, but if someone makes C&C, they can't make this one.

This event was designed to help with the overcrowding at Cars and Coffee since so many people were being turned away at previous events. I was asked by another car club to do this so that they could have a place to meet without feeling like an outcast at Cars and Coffee. Plus I had to set the dates way in advanced so that I could have the parking lot all to myself and not run into other events at the school.

I ask for donations so that I can make it a "school function", but really this event is for y'all and everyone else who either can't or won't make it to Cars and Coffee.

I maybe will be able to adjust the times in the Fall and Spring so people can make both.

September will be on the 8th and November will be on the 10th which are the weekend after Cars and Coffee.

It is in the school parking lot correct ?

Yes. I only had a few cars show up and stay today. I did see several mustangs, mopars and a couple of porsches drive by but did not stay. I can only think it was because there wasnt many cars today in the lot and they didnt want to be the first one or they thought the show wasnt today.

Next month should be better since it is on the weekend after Cars and Coffee.

OK, when i got there, there was nobody there. i drive all around the school thinking maybe it was somewhere else. i got there around 8:30 after not being able to hit the industrial exit

Ya, today was a bad day. Half of the people I knew were coming either woke up late or had family emergencies. The others forgot and/or went to Cars and Coffee.

Do they have the Industrial exit closed off of at 183??

I think another problem is that the parking lot is huge and with a few cars showing up it is hard for people to see where to go. Once the show does get going it will be easier for people to see the show.

Yeah I got there Saturday an thought that somebody had played a joke in the new guy. I will probably make it out again next mouth and I have spreadthe word to some fb friends also.actually, have you started a fb page for it yet?

I think this could take off as a great event as long as it was planned on a different Saturday not the same week as C&C.

Even so, it is a good way to spread the word about something. People will forward stuff along with out even reading it just somebody they may know posted it

Yeah, I get that. It's just annoying that everything seems to revolve around Facebook these days. Even conversations at meets, it never fails someone has to talk about some nonsense that happened on there. Just seems like another format for drama. haha. But if it can be put to use in a positive way, thats cool I suppose. :)

Ya, I figured that this would be the best thing to do. Summer 2013 I may go back to 8 to 12 just because of the heat. Need to see how these dates go.

The only problem I can forsee about the 10-2 time slot for the fall and on would be that most people would probably only stay until Noon or so, either because they get hungry, and most weekend plans during the day tend to occur around Noon-2 PM.

I will probably be there around 9 anyway, so people can start coming then. The feed back I have gotten so far suggested starting at 10, especially for the ones who tend to sleep in and come from outside the DFW area. Show in July didnt really get started until 10 anyway, and the ones who did show in August came around 9, whether they drove by or actually stopped.

Since this is a meet and greet type of event people can come and go as they please.
