Boss 302R heads for 2011 5.0 are they worth it
I am debating if I should get the boss 302R cylinder heads I just don't know if they will even make a difference performance wise
|
No, have yours ported, you will get much better gains.
|
umm...depends on if the person you are going to knows how to port and polish heads and do a 5 angle valve job.
i'd imagine the heads are probably pretty expensive to buy for little horsepower gain. |

Oh ok, didn't know if that was something you had previously done. Have you got an ETA on your car?

To put it into perspective, a bone stock 2013 manual 5.0 makes around 390 ish rwhp.. (Just an average number) a 2013 boss 302 makes about 405 rwhp (again just an average number) so that's 10-15 hp over a std gt car... Although the entire power band is different but you get the point. Get your heads ported there will be much better gains.

Re: Boss 302R heads for 2011 5.0 are they worth it
BLK2012GT get flow numbers on the heads before and after as that'll be helpful to all of us. Also will they be port matching the heads to your intake? Thanks!

Not sure N/A but my 2012 with a procharger made 634 rwhp (stock heads) and my buddies with the same blower setup and boost +meth, with Boss heads and cams, made 881 rwhp!

Do any of you guys know of a good camshaft that's good for daily driving I was looking into the ford racing exhaust camshaft
