My 1937 Ford build
Well long story short, I inherited this 37 Ford sedan from my grandfather years ago. He is still alive today and very excited about this project. This is EASILY the most elaborate, and detailed build I have ever been a part of. The only thing that isnt updated really is the exterior of the car.
Here is what we started with http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0_893401_n.jpg Nathan @ Hales Speed shop is handling this build from start to finish. I've been waiting to do this for a long time, pretty excited about it. Hopefully driving this fall! Current plans are LS3 with ported/milled factory heads, Vic JR intake, mild cam, 4L80e, 9". 9" and Mustang II front end are in the process of going in the chassis right now. This car will have AC, drive great and be reliable. http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps6486d5ff.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps171e1442.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps1dce6847.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...psff5ed57a.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps51b27a18.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...psd1230eab.jpg Custom firewall http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps1626101c.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps3dd098e4.jpg Mocked up on the ground http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...psb3fe6d49.jpg Custom interior panels http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps64e6cf14.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps38caeb1b.jpg How it sits today http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...psvnezxrgj.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps5rneocti.jpg Car is currently running. Exhaust got finished yesterday. Bumpers are getting fitted today! |
Very cool ride! My grandpa used to race cars like that. Unfortunately he passed away before I was able to really appreciate it or learn anything from him.

Freaking awesome

This. Is. Going. To. Be. Lengendary.
The only thing I'm not a fan of is the LS motor. I do completely understand why you went with it, but I think these types of cars deserve to keep their flat 8 heritage. Just keeps the nostalgia. |
Dude, that is sick!!

So choice..

This is badass, very similar build to what I want to do with my grandfather's car. He's had it for over 30 years and I was able to pick it up a few months ago. 235 with 3 on the tree, pretty fun to drive around.
How did you like the work done by Hale's, it looks like it's done right, but would you recommend them? Anyway, here's a couple pictures of when he had it back in the day and when I picked it up. http://i907.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps019449c1.jpg http://i907.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps0bmcuuvn.jpg http://i907.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps7f51c4ce.jpg http://i907.photobucket.com/albums/a...psec90bbdb.jpg http://i907.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps00f0110d.jpg |
Very cool car dude! I've known Nathan Hale for a very long time. IMO he is the NUMBER 1 hotrod builder in the southern united states. He builds these cars to be driven hard across the country and look great doing it.
Little eye candy for you guys :) http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...psc9db4252.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...psbd09a8f7.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...psd69c309a.jpg |
Nathan is a good guy, known him for 10 years or so. Helped me out with my bagged 04 Ram, and has helped my father out numerous times with his 55 chevy. Well worth the coin if you can afford it.

I'm impressed with it having Ac.
|
Thanks guys, I'll have to hit him up when I get it running good again. Junkie, will you be bringing this out a lot in the spring, I'd love to see his work in person

Cool car. Going to be one more of the LS/turbo/bagged Hale's crew?
