help!!!!
I was installing the tune sent to me from Bama and it said failed, now the damn car won't start! I'm stuck at the exhaust shop and no clue how to fix this!
|
I also tried the suggestion from the sct to return to stock, and it failed that too...
|
Unplug the neg from the battery as wait 15-20 mins then start again
|
Turn on your headlights, actual ON mode NOT Auto mode.
Disconnect the negative lead from the battery. Wait 20-30 min for the system to completely drain the charge and cool down the ECU. Turn off headlights. reconnect battery lead Return car to stock ensuring you keep all doors closed, radio off, a/c off, etc. Then reupload the tune. |
This happens weekly, I swear.
|
If I can get it back to stock I am going to get the work done and get it home. I'll update the tuner then try a flash again...
|
I just updated my sct tuner last Thursday seemed like a big update, took about 20 mins just for the update.
|
If you have jumper cables or a jumper pack hook it up first. What is happening is that you aren't getting a constant high enough voltage from the battery to the ECM when it is uploading. Usually due to your radio/AC/doors open etc.
Return to stock. Then reload the tune. Turn everything off. Keep the doors closed. If you have jumper cables or a jump pack it wont be a problem. |
You don't need to update your SCT. That's not the problem.
|
This recently happened to me. Make sure everything off. (The AC, radio, lights, ect.) also Pull the fuel pump fuse and fan fuse.
Then flash to stock and then your custom tune. Worked for me. Good luck. |
It's back to stock, and I am updating the tuner just to be sure.
I will try to reload the custom tune here after it updates... Good news is that I got the work done, so for now I am done with mods :D |

Yea, I am pretty sure it was just a one-off error, and shouldn't happen again. I was told by the guys from BAMA that if the device is not updated, sometimes this can happen...so I am making sure it's updated :)
