Damn, what happened?

Shifted to 2nd..spun hard and didnt let up in time.....then I hit the brakes. I have never spun like that. I guess thats because I always ran with dr's on my TA.

They really shouldn't put 245s on these. How bad is the damage

yeah...it was like ICE. I was the 1st car on the track and it was slick. However, I should have let up sooner. The damage is not nearly as bad as it felt...but still will need a good body shop. Got pretty much the whole passenger side and both wheels.

Made three passes...8.26,8.30,8.31 all at 88-89mph. The tune helped it pick up 4mph since my last track outing and that was in 59* temps, so I'm thinking with cooler air it'll pick up even more, so that's good. ET dropped .2-.3 over my previous best and again that was compared to much cooler air. All of those are positives. The main negative I had was that the new DR's really just keep me from spinning down the track, not leave any harder. My car has 3.15 gears and the stock converter and even on the DR's, my best 60' was a 2.02. I'm guessing that gears or converter is all that will help that... or a lot more power. I tried flashing it off idle, leaving with about 1500 rpms and leaving just below powerbraking rpms (around 2100 or so). All pretty much the same 60. The 1500rpm was the best, but only marginally.

I tried to view it...I guess you cant go on there as a guest. I took a few shots today to have a before and after when I get it fixed. Hopefully I will be adding new wheels while its in the shop.

I saw someone taking a pic as I was leaving the track...I wanted to knock the camera out of his hand. But today...after some time to let it set in...I was hoping maybe someone had it on video...but being the first run of the day I dont think alot of folks were even paying attention.

Red f150? That was me. I wanted to get some good pictures o the cars coming in, but only saw two 5.0 roll in before it got dark.

I did not see any damage. It was not till somebody asked me about it, did I even know something happened

Only two? Wow. I didn't bother going because it seemed like anyone from here was going. I guess the turnout over all wasn't that great? Must have been the heat chasing everyone off.
