Side splitters and alcantara GT500 shifter boot going on this weekend!

On a side note I highly recommend the Eibach Adjustable sways. They have made a night and day difference in cornering. She corners almost flat. Turn in improvement is incredible. When you get on it around a corner the rear now smoothly slides out if at all instead of the nasty Mustang kick out.

Also thanks to Dale for having a grease gun. After we greased the poly bearings on the BMR stuff no more squeak from the LCA's.

Handling is an amazing thing haha, what side splitters?

JDBishopArts 02-07-2013 01:02 PM

Haha yes. The 2013 was by far the best handling Mustang I've had so far but coming from the STi it still felt like a boat. Still feels like a big car but MUCH better than stock.

The splitters are Roush. I hope they aren't speed bump draggers. lol

DirtyD 02-07-2013 01:10 PM

I need moniez....so I can get goodiez....:(

JDBishopArts 02-07-2013 01:13 PM

ORH, tune, the rest of suspension, wheels and tires, GT500 wing and MGW are all calling mine.

I. Can't. Afford. Them.

JDBishopArts 02-07-2013 01:43 PM

Haha yeah I think with this car I'm going to do some more suspension and appearance mods first and leave it alone a while.

Damn now I have to add sway bars to the list...

JDBishopArts 02-07-2013 04:20 PM

I need to give you a ride. lol You'll go buy some asap.

JDBishopArts 02-07-2013 06:21 PM

Got home early today so I decided to go ahead and put on the GT500 shifter boot.

Got it for cheap and the stitching matches the rest of the car.

Pop the console off and this is what you get. It's actually more of a PITA than I thought it would be to get the boot off. One of the clips wouldn't let loose.

Apparently this is were Ford keeps the crack.

Nice. Didn't think there would that much of a difference between the two.

RedRaider5.0 02-07-2013 06:32 PM

I had the same problem with one of the clips when I replaced mine. Car looks great!

JDBishopArts 02-07-2013 06:41 PM

Updated pics of the car.

Looks great, Josh! Now all you're missing is some Cv3's! (satin of course:D )

JDBishopArts 02-09-2013 04:30 PM

If my tax return is as good as it should be that might change.

JDBishopArts 03-11-2013 11:36 PM

New Rims!

Finally got some bigger meats on the car. Found a pretty good deal on some forgestar CF10's. Brushed Titanium Finish. They are very bright in the sun but in the shade have a darker tint to them. 20X10 fronts 20x11 rears. 275 INVOs on the front and 295's on the rear. The fonts clear the Brembos by 1mm...maybe. I'm going to get a 2mm spacer made or might just get the 3mm. Rears have no fitment issues. Love the look. Might end up getting them powercoated sterling grey later down the road. They make a gunmetal finish but from a couple people I spoke with they don't match the sterling grey so it looks like you tried to match the paint and failed. I didn't have a scale but just from picking them up side by side the forgestars did feel noticeably lighter. What do y'all think?

Very nice, let me know when you get sick of those wheels.

Grandpa 03-12-2013 12:54 AM

Lookin good, Josh!

JDBishopArts 05-01-2013 06:52 PM

Added some more stuff today. Custom Spacers for the front and CF Read Deck Panel and Engine Cover.

Here are the spacers. All I needed to clear the Brembos. Got it hub centric so I don't have to worry about them moving at all when rotating. They were made by Aaron Sockwells company out of Billet Alum.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8269/8...961d1de7_z.jpg

Next was the deck panel. Not too hard of a job. Take out the (2) screws holding it on the truck. Then pop it out. I was told it would take a lot of force but apparently even though I was careful I broke off 3 of the tabs. Had to take out the lining in the trunk to fish them out.

I put on the blue tape to align the new panel.

CF Panel!

CF Engine Cover. It was modified for a blower but I picked it up cheap. Hopefully by the end of the summer there will be something sticking out of that hole in my car too.

I plan on doing a few small, tasteful CF mods. I've never really been a big fan of it on Mustangs but I love it on the Sterling Grey. CF vents and CF shelby spoiler are next. I'll be painting the top of the spoiler sterling grey and leaving the back/underside CF with a CF gurney flap.

Either that or twins... haha

JDBishopArts 05-01-2013 11:56 PM

I wish I could afford twins so bad but after doing all the pricing it's still way out of what I want to pay. They are so awesome though.

JDBishopArts 07-31-2013 09:19 PM

New Mods. Koni Yellows and a TVS! Tuned by Kevin Dunn and running great so far. Will put it on the dyno soon. It feels like 550-560 to me. I'd like to get close to the 600 mark and leave it alone till it goes.

Yes. It's still ghetto wired up for the moment. I blew the ECM ignition fuse when it shorted out. The new harness for the intercooler pump came in today though. Roush said it would take a week. It took 4 days. This time I'll make sure it's tied to the others.
