No it wouldn't be too bad but it is the 2nd time I had to have the same part replaced. Hopefully the last time for awhile.

When they changed it out did they use the same part or did they update the compressor to handle the heat better?

They just changed out the same part and fixed a leak that they said was on the return line. They said they checked the compressor and everything was ok.
