The $50 would be to keep everyone from constantly calling someone out. If you have nothing to lose then number 8 can call out number 7 3 times a week till number 7 misses a gear and loses the race.

Then that's how racing goes. They should have no problem getting their spot back if they don't miss a shift.

Doesn't make much sense to me. Is ok with a $50 bet, but not a $15 tech card.
