Default Need some help with a tune.

I get a pretty good discount with SCT. I've been looking at the X4 and the Livewire TS. I don't know if anyone here has either, but I'm not sure what the difference is between the two. I know the Livewire has more of a in-car feel than the X4, and the Livewire has the sweeping gauges, but I'm not sure if either are more beneficial than the other. Anything helps! Thanks guys

I don't think the Livewire really works on these cars. Now I'm not positive on that, but I haven't heard of anyone running a Livewire on a 5.0.

Most go with the X handheld device. So I would choose the X4

Plug and play, yes. But the X4 isn't really something you keep plugged in at all time.

Ah alright, so plug it in, upload the tune, and then unplug it? So it doesn't do datalogging or anything like the Livewire does?

Correct, and yes, it does datalogging, but the handheld will onyl datalog a few PIDs, not a bunch, so you will still need a laptop and LiveLink software to get full datalogging.

The Livewire still only tracks a few PIDs as well, iirc when I was looking at them years ago.

Would I need the Laptop/LiveLink to upload tunes with the X4? I'm familiar with the software, I've written a few tunes with SCT and HP. I've used the X3, but it was at school and we had it hooked up to the computer. Do you use the X4 or 3?

Hp tuners is available for the coyote now. Not sure if you knew that. I would highly recommend that over SCT

Is it really? I love that software! It's way easier to use than SCT. Only thing is, I ca get the X4 for $300, or maybe $250, I ca't remember what he said. I've also only written the tunes in class before, just doing correction factors with the MAF and airflow
