Unless that admission included free rides in the cars, that might change things.
Nope it doesnt. Just giving you the lowdown. Im pervy to the rules pretty well for not going to one, but Junkie would know the most.

Track rental, insurance, emergency response teams... that shit is expensive. Plus I'm sure the promoters want to make a few bucks, as they should.

I'm not all that interested in the event (yep - it's boring as hell to watch) but I think it will be fun for the participants. You don't have a lot of opportunities in a street environment to really wind up a car with even 500hp, so I see the draw.

I can understand, but I think it would be cool to have a crowd there, just not an insanely big crowd. You could potentially get a ton of participants to join in this since the power levels aren't near those of TI. At $20 I would pay to come, and I'm sure other people with a legit interest of watching would pay that, and hopefully it would help to keep the spectator crowd at a decent size.

Thats why its ivite only. Thats also why the big event is def private. Most people with 600+hp cars can afford 300$ to go. The goal isnt to have a crowd. The goal is to invite a few select people and give them a chance to stretch the legs of their cars.

I guess I figured this was geared more towards the normal people zone of gearheadsville. Guess not. Maybe one day.

So I wonder if the trophies will actually be given out this time?

Which is great for a track car taking a lot of driver error out of the equation.

Im willing to bet before the end of Feb they will be FULL car wise.
There will be plenty of Driver guests.
For anyone who has actually been to a Ti on which this event is based.. theyw ill attest to how much fun it is. If you think the $50 is too much, the good thing is 50 people will be inline to take your place

It's an inside joke that's over y'alls head. Probably a good thing you aren't on Facebook, Steve.

Agreed. I had a blast last year and really look forward to it this year. Some amazing machines, awesome weather and just a fun day of good people and racing.
