I just realized I'd never started a thread here. So here's the story of my GT.
When the coyotes hit the streets, I told my uncle (BLK50 / 2011BaseGT) about them. Wouldn't you know it, he went out and bought one that night. An all-black base M6 GT without a single option. Cool car.
Of course he got bit pretty hard by "the bug." He got a tune, some CS56 wheels, black vinyl stripes, FRPP P springs, GT500 ABs, etc.
So at this point I already like the new Mustangs. Then I took a road trip with a friend of mine through the desert southwest in a Kona Blue Hertz 2011 GT auto. Man what a great touring car.
So when I got back, the hunt was on. It had to be a red or white base M6 coupe with the Brembo brake package and 3.73s (no Track Pack at the time). Some internet sleuthing turned up a couple of cars but they were all the wrong color. Then one turned up in Tulsa OK and I drove five hours up there, trusting they would make the deal they promised over the phone. It all worked out.

So over time I really haven't done much else to it.
I added a JHR shifter bracket and the Whiteline shifter bushing. Big difference there.
I added Boss 302 side pipes but I have them blocked off now.
GT500 axle backs
Tokico D-spec shocks/struts
Trimmed a half-coil off the front springs to get it to sit right
Painted the white "chin" on the lower valence black
Put black V6 mirror caps on it
I painted the intake manifold red, lol
I think that's about it really. It had an engine replaced at 23700 miles by Ford. The new engine is a 2013 version, and it runs even better!
So that's it for now. It has 48k miles and I just enjoy the hell out of it. No real plans for it at this time but I might get those SHR flush louvers they put on the Cobra Jets. Those are pretty sharp.

Drool! Pretty close to what I'm going to go for but with some grabber blue accents. How is the ride quality with the sportline/tokicos? Also what about the fitment with the sportlines and 305 rears? Everything clear or do you get some rubbing?
Sweet story. Id love to cruise on those desert roads. Is one able to open up a car much on those roads or are they heavily enforced by helicopters/cameras/troopers?

Ride is great. They rub a little but I don't care. I just keep people out of the back seat. The secret is in the front strut settings - keep them soft, and it absorbs impacts so the rear tires don't rub.

You can go pretty fast in Nevada without anyone giving you a hard time. Arizona, not so much.
