Had a close call on the way home. What I feared might happen almost did. The rain started coming down and a big rig went by us throwing even more water in our lane and the ass end of the car came right out of the lane sending us instantly sideways on the highway at 55mph. Thankfully no one else was around us and I pulled it back into our lane without flying into the wall. It scared the shit out of my poor wife who usually doesn't go out to car stuff with me very often, now she sees what she's been missing. lol.

I guess that's what I get for listening to you jerkoffs giving me shit for not driving the in the weather instead of sticking to I knew I should do. I'll clean up the car today since she is absolutely filthy from the rain and it will not be driven in the rain again. haha

Why not put street tires on the rear instead of DRs unless you're on the track?

It's not a daily and the drag radials are fine for good weather driving.

If you would have stuck around there wouldn't have been an issue. I left at 5:15 and it was completely dry the entire way home till I was a mile from my house.

I was matched up against a vette in the finals. I won but could not stick around to see final results. Of the Chevy vs Ford how many matches did Ford win?

I didn't see many Chevy wins from my vantage in the staging lanes. Maybe Clint will comment on here and let us know.

Heard the event went great, so I'm looking to see if something is posted official in the next few days.

Are we ever going to hear about any results from this race? Besides about ten photos and Jon's video, I haven't seen or heard anyone talking about the event.

Yes. Clint will have the finer details soon. It's been discussed more on the FB page for the event but will post more here as well.

Still waiting on Data from the Motorplex from the race. There printer was out of paper and they are sending me over the info so I cant break down who won a point and who got caught sandbagging ect. But as far as official win lose, Mustang won before we started. Lot of Camaros left around 12:00, Giving team Mustang a 20 point head start before racing ever started (20 mustangs without races). By the time weather stopped misting there were only 19 point races to be won. Once the Texas motorplex gets me the data I can give details on exact points.

We have most if not all the points races on video and I am working on getting it loaded. Should be able to see all the races by end of the week.
