I'm well aware, most of my previous Stangs have been blown. My coupe went well into the 9's rowing gears. 2.54 is just blowing tire. 2.0-2.2 I could see on a real bad run. Unless he was on a regular radial I dont see why it should be that bad. Thats not even trying to pedal it, that was just hoping to backdoor an ET with a big HP car. lol

Now what's worst? Having a 2.54 60 ft or missing 4th gear all night?

Which is great for a track car taking a lot of driver error out of the equation.

Apparently my driving is as bad as your reading.

"2.54 with no launch to speak of." Meaning, I rolled out of the box, I didn't drop the clutch from any RPM. I didn't build my car for the track and the IRS + Drag Radials is a terrible combo known for breaking shit, which I wasn't in the mood to do. I just wanted to take it down the track for shits and giggles.

Default Driving!!!!

Dang, I'm glad "you" can't drive.... I thougth they were talking about me for a min...... NOT......
I havn't spent much time on the track but I feel like my set up is getting close to what it is capable of. I know my driving has alot to do with it but I'm consistently getting 1.60 - 1.69 60' times now. I don't think that's too bad.
I made a few passes on the stock tires, with the stockers I was getting 2.1 - 2.2 60' times. They wouldn't hook up at all on the track with the HP my car has.
Anyway, didn't mean to distract the thread... carry on with the bashing. lol.

You are running right where you should. Getting 99 in the eighth is just barely enough to crack some 6s. Keep working at it and getting it down there, you'll get your 6-second pass if the weather's right, you get a good launch, and bang the gears.

I recommend going to a good quarter mile track and seeing if you can crack 10s....

To OP, put a slick on it and launch it as high as u feel comfortable. Instant 6s. The tire weight will get you there and 60s should be in the 1.5 range with no changes. Screw DRs for launching with a clutch...
