Yeah, I'm kinda shocked at that as well. On the tuner site, some tuners seem to prefer tuning the 80's versus going through the extra lil work for the 1000's. Personally there is no way I would trade the 80's for the 1000's.

The 80's, with the BAP, are more than enough for what he'll be making, and Manny is more comfortable with the 80's.

Sure, they will work for now. Until a built motor comes into play and more boost. Then will have to buy injectors a second time. I hate re-buying parts and wasting money, but I guess that's just me.

How much do you think 80's will support? You seem to be grossly underestimating them. At 650, mine aren't even breathing hard. Lots of headroom on these to grow with. If you're heading North of 800, you'll need to switch them out, but that's not going to happen on my car. Not sure what Dougs' plans are.

By selling the ID1000's, I was able to pay for brand new 80's and a 1-week old KB 40A BAP and still have $200 leftover which paid for my Aeroforce and 3.5bar MAP sensor. By doing so, I also switched to an injector that the person tuning my car prefers and has already developed multiple tunes for. He'll be burning me a "limp it to the shop" tune that will allow me to drive the car to the dyno to be tuned. Manny said he thought the 80's would be fine for a while and they're what he was running when he ran into the 9's with his 3.6L. That should do me for a while!

Just called KB and picked up a 3-7/8" pulley and a 3-3/4" pulley. That way I can make sure we get it to the power level I'm looking for while on the dyno.

Yeah, getting into the 9s is probably plenty. At that point you'll have enough other shit to fix/replace before injectors to go 8s. lmao

LOL... I'm looking for 10.80's or better... that's it. IOW, as fast as the turbo fox, in a newer, nicer car with AC!

I should have solid numbers about the time you get the car back from Manny, but I'm expecting 10.60's. We'll see.

I think my goal of 10.80 is VERY conservative. Yours will depend on those shifts!

I'm still a little concerned about the plugs. The KB site says, in big red letters, DO NOT USE BRISK PLUGS WITH OUR BLOWERS, and what does Manny recommend (and install)? Brisk, of course. He runs them in his car too. As to gap, couldn't tell you, they did all the work. Mine will be back up at HPP tomorrow for some more goodies and tuning, I'll see if I can find out the gap then.

I did a little research last night and I think I'm gonna go with the NGK LTR7IX-11's which are the iridium one step colder than stock. Gapped around .032.
