Default Any manual guys wish they went Auto?

I have had both m6 and a6 5.0s im not doing as much drag racing as I anticipated and thought about going with a manual again. May look for someone who wants to make the swap

Ordinarily, I would say no, but after this past weekend, I'm really wishing I'd gone with the auto. LOL!

Before I bought a Mustang, I had heard too many owners complaining about the manuals. Bought my car with the female transmission and have been happy since.

never regretted going to auto. Had 1 car that was manual, 3hrs of traffic I pulled into a dealership and traded it in. (b4 5.0)

At times, an auto would be nice in Dallas traffic. But, rowing through the gears on a straight away or downshifting and taking a curvy on/off ramp makes having a stick 100% worth the few minutes I am in traffic. Plus, I don't plan on making huge power so I am sure it will hold up - I hope anyway. Ha.

I think it all depends on how you intend on using your Stang a majority of the time. I'm more into the twisty curvy country backroad cruising than drag racing or racing of any kind really. You just don't get the same feel with aggressive driving with an auto as you do a manual. If I were planning on doing a lot of dead stop racing, then auto would have been the way to go. But for me manual is the only way to go for my driving style choice.

I only regret it when I'm at the track. All the rest of the time, I love having a manual.

I'd swap with you. I love having a manual but I would prefer an auto

I came from a 4R70 in my F150. 4+OD. Slow. As. Balls. The V6 may have has something to do with that though. Lol

I wouldn't mind having an auto in traffic when I'm stop and go. But that's not often.

I just feel a mustang should be a stick.

fun car to drive = stick
drag and/or vagina = auto

Nothing wrong with an auto, but I've always preferred stick shift cars. And don't give me the sob story about 'traffic.' I drive north loop 820 and 183 into the sun every morning and evening. I wouldn't trade away my stick unless I was trying to set drag racing records.
