Default Max tire size on 19x9 brembo wheels?

So I am looking for long term tires on brembos. Stock seems to be 255/40/19.

Will a 275/40/19 fit and clear? Would that be a bit much for a 9 inch rim?

Intended use is daily driver. No 1/4 drag events.

Thanks for any advice here

Don't think a 275 fits. I could be wrong on that.

I've actually been told that 275 is the max that you can go on the brembo wheels. I actually plan on going with this size myself, if I don't decide to buy different rims.

285 is the max you can go with a slight bulge, 275 fits better with no bulge.

i have 275 V12s on my stock brembo rims and they look/fit great.

275/40 is the maximum recommended tire size in a 9" wheels if the car will see any kind of quick turning, hard cornering, etc.

If you simply just drive to and from work, without any fun whatsoever, you can run a 285, but still not advised.

I'm going to running a staggered 255/40 & 275/40 Continental DWs when I upgrade the tires.

haha, dont be so dramatic Derek, you can have fun on 285s.

i wouldnt take them on a road course, but anything you will be doing on the streets will be fine.

Depends on how road coursey some people get on the streets. Lol

I make slow turns in 2nd gear at 15 MPH, so I'm sure I'd be fine. Haha

Plus, I want a slightly taller rear tire on mine, because I don't like the idea of running a shorter rear tires than the front. Unless I stepped up to a 19/20 stagger with a 285/35/20 rear.

Nittos don't count because they run small.

So looks likei 275/40/19 all round is what I will do. I want to be able to rotate the tires.

But, Dereck why the stagger on same rims? 255 front 275 rear?

I like the wider rear tire look. I'm pretty religious about keeping my tires balanced and such, so I shouldn't have to rotate them at all. I'm sure other people out there running staggered setups don't have a problem.

I ran 275 all the way around and preferred it only because i could rotate my tires. i would burn the back tires too much, then swap them with the fronts and get a little bit longer out of the set.

the staggered approach does look pretty sweet though.

currently i have 315/20 on a 20x10 out back and 255/20(i think) on a 20x8.5 up front. takes a few lbs off the rotational mass up front as well.
