Happens on daily driven cars as well. When I drilled my weep holes it drained for about 10 minutes they were completely full of water. About a month later the leaks/rattles began.

Too late for weep holes man they're screwed. On my first set we drilled weep holes and they rusted from the inside out until they broke completely through at the welds. Dealership in Plano took mine...
