I know Amsoil has MT fliud but will this work? Seems like the same stuff.

Isn't that for the differential?

Yes they are both technically gear lube. I found that the MT fluid has friction modifier in it. So there's the difference.

yea dont use that in the trans. i know the mtg works its what i have in my car.

That's for the differential and it's better than the regular 75w90. I'm an Amsoil dealer and Amsoil doesn't have anything specifically for our mt82

But you can use the 75w-90 manual trans fluid from amsoil in the MT82 right?

Yea some people have good luck with that stuff. I've never done a Trans service on mine so it still has ford fluid, but my Trans is actually whining now.

That sucks.

No Amsoil has fluid for the mt-82:

http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produc...?code=MTGQT-EA

I've been running it for approx. 20k mile no issues.

Just a bit stiff with shifting when its super cold but once it warms up its like butta!

Hey I'm sure 75w90 will work just fine but Amsoil recommends ford dual clutch fluid. Dark helmet, you have the severe gear. Severe gear is not for transmissions it's for differentials.

Ya my friend had the severe gear and asked of I wanted it. That's why I asked. But I bought the man trans fluid instead.

Bacadiesel 12-11-2013 01:53 PM

Oh and severe gear is the one with friction modifier not the reg gear fluid. And our diffs take 75w140 severe gear

On amsoil's web site it says the trans fluid is "friction modified"
