Spacers
 

I know wheel spacers generally have a negative perception. However, I am looking at 3mm spacers to give me clearance more for my front calipers. Are these still viewed as a bad idea or would I be ok using these? Would the stock studs still be ok and safe to use? Car is not tracked, it's a daily driver.

Im running spacers and Dark pony did as well. NO probs so far for me.

If no track use you should be fine.

They aren't ideal. Doable. But if you plan on running them full time I'd recommend longer studs. There is a reason Discount tire won't touch cars without hubcentric spacers.

Due to my wheel size I need to run a spacer. I should take the time to get a hub centric setup though. I've been running the 8mm spacers from AM since I got my wheels and was before on my stockers when I had caliper covers. Zero issues.

Granted I only have them on the fronts. Also if you can get 8 turns on the lug you should be fine, which I can get well beyond. However I would not recommend anything more than 8mm. I have a set of 8mm spacers if you ever want to give them a try before you buy.

Yes they do Josh (JDNishopArts) knows a guy that made him some. I need to go through him eventually too.

I got Sock on here with Dusold Designs to cut me a 1mm hub-centric spacer out of billit aluminum. It was very reasonable. 3mm is the max I would go without longer studs but I'd personally go longer studs anyway. I've seen quite a few guys lose wheels due to spacers. Most of the time it's racing but I wouldn't want to risk losing a wheel doing 70-80 on the highway.
