Pypes super cat back system?

Is anybody using this catback system? I'm running SLP axle backs and want to switch to pype's cat back. If anybody IS running them and wouldn't mind if I met you up to hear it, please PM me! Thanks.

Standby, I'll see if I can get something posted up, I think all my videos are on the old laptop and I'm not home.

You have the Pypes Catback system? Do you have stock midpipe?

Luke 04-29-2013 01:46 PM

The video is from True Street's dyno day in October. I had a lethal o/r x pipe on it too. The catback alone isn't too bad, but there is drone. With the o/r x it's definitely there while cruising on the freeway and pretty loud on cold starts in the mornings. I'm in Iraq so the internet is terrible but I have it uploading to photobucket, I'm at 25% and 40 minutes into it. Only a 1:20 long, lol.

Lol. I'm used to the drone. SLP has a lot. I'm trying to reduced a bit. I was told the pypes would do it cause of the resonated tips. Is that true? I definitely love the loudness of the slp's. have you heard them? And what comparison would you give?

What service are you in?

Luke 04-29-2013 02:32 PM

I've only heard the SLP's through videos but I've heard they drone worse and are pretty loud. You're right about the resonators, it wasn't bad for a stock car but not my cup of tea when mixed with the o/r x. And I'm in the Air Force Reserves right now but I'm overseas as a contractor.

41% on the video...
